Pixar

Pixar is a company who make animation films. They started in 1996 and were bought by Disney in 2006 who are a big media and animation giant. They have made huge films such as the Toy story trilogy and Wall-E.

Pixar along with Disney are the biggest makers off animation films and also use CGI with all of there films over the last decade. CGI stands for computer generated image. Pixar and Disney are able to create a animation that looks cartoony as well as giving a sense of realism to its characters and feel.  CGI allows you to create a realistic world filled with anything magical such as Cars or Kung fu panda.
CGI is done on computer and can also be tied in with real action. Films such as the Matrix is blending the boundaries between live action and action.
