Eadweard muybridge

Muybridge was born in England in 1830 and invented the zoopraxiscope.



















The zoopraxiscope was a early device used to create motion picture. The device was created in 1879 and was believed to be the first movie projector. This device was also believed to inspire later pioneers such as Edison.

The device works by different outlined drawings placed on a disc then colored when in place and spun on the disk to create a moving image.
