Cadburys eyebrow remake was using the time lapse technique where you set up before and choose number of seconds and pictures will be taken every so many seconds minutes or hours to create what looks like a constant flow of surreal movement. Time lapse is usually used in documentaries and film to show a passing off time. My animation is not to the quality that this below has. To do it again i would make sure i set the time lapse up before and make sure it works before rushing into it to make sure it looks like the quality off the piece below to make it look more smooth and flowing than rough and stuttering.

The time lapse seen here is at a very high standard

Zombies from behind was using object based animation as the name suggests you get objects as your characters and or set and animate them. Animating the objects was hard to make the movement look real and we didn't succeed in making realistic movement it looked floaty when zombies usually are heavy on there feet. I think doing object animation again would be good be using more realistic and appropriate objects especially for the characters.

Ducktanic was made using claymation and the focus was making the movement of the characters fluid by following a track on the paper to aid us. This is animation was not very good as the set was non existent due to using the guidelines and the characters were very poorly made and didn't look great. If i could do it again i would focus more on character development and making the movement very fluent and not rush it.

My Animations

Bouncy ball animation was used by using cut out. Cut out was used on the original South Park. Using cut out was one off my favorite types because it could be manipulated easily as well as creating unrealistic movement and sets. The problem with cut out is that you can be very limited in terms off character, sets and story lines because although can be manipulated you cant build totally what you what like you can with claymation.

Me and Animation

As a child i used to always watch animation starting with cartoons like Scooby Doo and Tales from the crypt keeper which in many ways shaped my love for films and TV as well as forming my personality by watching these at a young age. Tales from the crypt keeper started my love for all things horror.

Then i started to watch animated films like Nightmare before christmas which essential added my surreal side of life like enjoying weird and surreal environments, stories and characters. Toy story was the next big animation i can remember and the first real CGI film i loved. I got the merchandise to Toy story to this day as woody is one of my favorite characters in film as well as going as far as having a tattoo based on the film. Now watching animated films is a passionate because i like to escape in surreal environments and my latest favorite was UP because it was such a strong and emotionally story for a animation which was followed in the same way by Toy story 3. I would say in many aspects animation has formed a big part of my personality. I enjoy all forms off animation such as white stripes music videos and adverts such as Lloyds TSB.
